A few weeks ago, some pups with the title of Mr Puppy from their respective countries gave Puppy Play Spain a series of interesting interviews. As we do not want to miss the opportunity to share these valuable testimonials with as many pups as possible, we have decided to publish all the interviews in English in the same post. We hope you like them.

Puppy Play Spain: Hello pup!. First of all, we want to thank all of you for having been able to take a little time for this interview, it is an honor for us to be able to count on you.
To start and let the readers know a little about you, tell us who are you? How would you describe yourself as a pup?
Viking (Mr Puppy Mexico'19): Hello everyone, First of all thank you for the opportunity. My name isAldo I am from Veracruz, Mexico. And my puppy name is Viking. I work inhealth and my hobbies range from movies, series, concerts totravel to the various fetish events in the world. I belong to theLEATHERS MX community of Mexico, which is made up of all kinds offetishists such as leather, rubber, puppies, etc. and on November 24They chose me as their Mr. Puppy Mexico 2019.
I am a very noble puppy, friendly and that likes the caresses. I think I am very cautious when approaching other pups but once I achieve it I integrate very well.
Trumpet (Mr Puppy UK'19): I’m from a place called stoke on trent (between Manchester and Birmingham). I’m a 45 year old pup and the oldest titleholder in Europe (possibly anywhere). I own the gay nightclub in the city and also run the pride event with my partner Pup Zeus.
Ritchi (Mr Puppy Czech Republic'18): I would say that I'm pretty obedient, but sometimes cheeky as hell *chuckles in the background*
Sada (Mr Puppy Netherlands'19): First of all, I want to thank you for asking me to do this interview. I’m honored thatyou’d like to hear more about me and what I think of puppy play. So, I’m Sada or alsoknown by my nickname mini pup. I see myself as quite the cuddle pup when I see apuppy I just have to come over and give them a hug. I can also be very cheekysometimes, I’m not the type that listens all that much and it’s more fun to create alittle bit of chaos for the handlers. Keeps them a little bit on edge you know.
Aaron (Mr Puppy Italy'18): Hi Luge! Well Aaron is definitely the part of me that I care most about. It came out when I needed it most, that is, after a 12-year relationship. Aaron is a puppy much safer than if compared to his human counterpart. It is sweet and cuddly, but can be spiteful and pungent at the right time.
Matt (Mr Puppy Europe'18): Hi, I'm Matt, I'm 30 years old, I live in Paris and I'm mister Puppy Europe since Februrary 2018. As a pup, I define myself as a Shiba Inu, because my character as pup suits a bit the standards of Shibas (independant, cheeky, not that easy to train) and also because I find shiba inu super cute :)I'm definitely super cheeky when I play as pup, don't count on me to obey directly, everyhting need training.
PPS: The puppy play is one of the fetish and kinks that has grown the most in recent years. How long have you been a pup? How did you meet the puppy play
Viking (Mr Puppy Mexico'19): I've been in the fetish scene for 5 years, but only 1 year as a puppy. The puppy play I met in Amsterdam, in a pride, and was at a party when I saw a group of Finns and there was a puppy, I saw how it was at the feet of the master and then everyone caressed him and as other puppies arrived they played and I loved it, at that moment I knew I wanted to be a puppy like them.
Trumpet (Mr Puppy UK'19): I’ve been a pup on the scene since Oct 2016 and in private for 6 months before that. I’d been curious about puppy play for some time before then and chatted to several people on Grindr who were pups. 2016 was the year that our pride reached out to the pup community and hosted an event in partnership with Puppy Pride where I got to meet them face to face. This was followed by my first pup event at Mr Puppy 2016.
Ritchi (Mr Puppy Czech Republic'18): I have met pup-play with my then-boyfriend at the age of 16. After that, I tried to seek community myself, and now I am a proud puppy for three years.
Sada (Mr Puppy Netherlands'19): I’ve been a puppy for around 2,5 years now. I was about half a year into the fetishscene when I discovered pup play. There is a fetish club in Antwerp (the boots) that Ioften visit and they had a night called fetish lab where they introduce fetish to newpeople. There were a couple of workshops like bondage, electro, vac bed, etc andthey also had a puppy play workshop. I was interested and never heard of it beforeso I went to check it out. It was fun to see them talk about it and it also looked prettyfun to me, but at that point I wasn’t so sure if it would really be my kind of thing. Acouple of months later I went to leatherpride Antwerp for the first time where they hada puppy play area. I was walking around and then I saw a couple of puppies playingtogether and it looked like so much fun that I ran right over to watch them and startedtalking with one of the guys who was so kind enough to let me try his hood. When Iput it on I was instantly sold on it and it really felt like I finally found a place that fitsme. I felt so happy and I got all excited, it was on my mind the entire weekend.
Aaron (Mr Puppy Italy'18): I've been a puppy for a year.I am "stumbled" in the puppy play by chance looking at the photos of the Pride of Milan two years ago and seeing the photos of Mr. in office then. I looked around a bit on the web and talking to a friend I expressed the desire to deepen this interest. I met the Mister and once I tried the first mask it was like discovering a new part of me. I was more sure of myself and more uninhibited. From there then it was all a crescendo of emotions and discoveries.
Matt (Mr Puppy Europe'18): I started puppy play, a bit more than 3 years ago now, everything started online : I was looking at some puppy tumblr, and I wanted to try puppy play myself.I created an account on a fetish cruising app, and very quickly, I found an handler who wanted also to try to have a pup.Weedon, my first handler did soft puppy play with me, I was just the dog of the house, playing, snuggling, eatuing in a bowl, cudling ... with almost no sex involved.I also started naked, with absolutely no gear, plug tail come quickly and then puppy hood few months after.I stayed with Weedon, one year, and then I needed to discover new ways to play, but he still have a very special place in my puppy heart.
PPS: What does the puppy play means to you?
Viking (Mr Puppy Mexico'19): Each one can interpret it in a different way, but for me it is a way of expressing myself through a character that has a life of its own and that when I put on the mask I become Viking and I stop being Aldo. I like that a lot, it frees me emotionally and allows me to do things that I normally would not do. What I like about being a puppy is the feeling of obedience, of protection, of being fun and playing, I love getting into the role of a dog.

Trumpet (Mr Puppy UK'19): Puppy play to myself and my partner has many appealing aspects. Firstly there is the social side, allowing us to meat and mingle with like minded people. Second is it allows us to enter a different mindspace where the everyday problems of life melt away and we can revert to being more animalistic. And finally the third one which is the sexual side where we explorer and embrace the dominance and sexual aspects of puppy play with each other and friends.
Ritchi (Mr Puppy Czech Republic'18): Being in a community like pups, I feel like a part of a second family. Being able to talk with others about my passion, or about joy of a new muzzle or stuff like that. It feels amazing to have somebody to talk to about stuff you are passionate about.
Sada (Mr Puppy Netherlands'19): What it means to me and what I always think is important is to have fun. In it’ssimplest form that is what this is all about, it’s a way for us to have fun. What I think isso great about puppy play is that you can really make it your own thing. You can be arubber, leather, sport pup or you can be a lazy cuddle pup, a hyper jumpy pup, youcan be however you want to be. We don’t have to stick to any rules other than youhave to be a pup and that is why I think it is so great. What I also think is great aboutit is the type of people that it attracts, because I have never seen such open and funpeople anywhere else like this. They make me happy, they are always happy and itreally lifts up your spirit whenever you see them walking around at events. If you wantto have a great time than the best way to have it is to spend time with puppies.
Aaron (Mr Puppy Italy'18): For me puppy play is a way to express yourself in an authentic and genuine way. It is a reality that allows you to relate by letting go of the most spontaneous part of your character.
Matt (Mr Puppy Europe'18): For me, puppy play is a way to relax, forget stress of my human life, just have fun, be playfull, and let it go, as long you find people you trust to play with.Puppy play have also a strong community side : of course nothing is perfect and there's sometimes some drams, but mostly, pup communities are very welcoming and it's very easy to make puppy friends.
PPS: As you know, puppy play has a strong social component. Do you currently have a handler or herd or, on the contrary, are you a lone wolf?
Viking (Mr Puppy Mexico'19): I have a wonderful master that I love very much, his name is José Manuel and he is the current Mr. Fetish ILBS 2018. And my pack are the best dogs you can find in Mexico City: Hermes, Likan, Dante, Bolt and many more.
Trumpet (Mr Puppy UK'19): As Mr Puppy UK next year I will probably have the largest pack on the planet representing the British Pup’s, we do also run and event called the doghouse that meets every third Saturday of the month to play and pup out. At work out of the 16 staff we have 5 are pups and 3 pup curious. However in our personal and sexual parts of our lives it is just myself and Zeus.
Sada (Mr Puppy Netherlands'19): I’ve had a handler since the beginning. He was my master at first and when Idiscovered puppy play it was only logical to let him be my handler as well. He hasintroduced me to the world of fetish and I can’t be more grateful for what he has donefor me. At first I was a really shy, always the type that would sit alone or never comeout of the house. But fetish and especially pup play has really helped me to crawl outof my shell and discover who I really am.

Aaron (Mr Puppy Italy'18): I state that a puppy can also decide to be stray and not recognize a figure by his side. You are puppy for yourself first of all.My boyfriend is everything to me. Companion, owner, handler, friend, accomplice ...
Matt (Mr Puppy Europe'18): As I said, I stayed with Weedon, my first handler, during one year. I'm stray since 2 years now, which is not a problem : I like to be able to play with who I want to play, as a Shiba : I'm independent.Since a bit more than one year, I'm beta of a lovely Omega : Jamko, we don't have alpha on the top of the hierarchy.
PPS: Currently, as Mister, you represent your country pup community. How is the pup scene there?
Viking (Mr Puppy Mexico'19): It is growing a lot, you would be surprised to see the amount of puppies and how well they wear it. It is becoming more frequent and thanks to the efforts of the LEATHERS MX community and other groups that promote this fetish, it will reach the same popularity and acceptance levels as leather or rubber. Last November 24, I was appointed Ambassador in Europe and representative of Mr. Puppy México 2019, and next year we will have the biggest puppy event that Mexico has seen. We will have international guests and it will be a watershed for the puppy community in Latin America.
LEATHERS MX was born in 2017 as a project to be a group of the new school and guard that links as many leather and fetish groups as possible to Mexico. It makes its public appearance on June 23, 2017 during the Pride of Mexico City and the first meeting took place that same day at the Tom's Leather Bar with the support of its owner Miguel Antonio Pujana. Currently it is chaired by my great friend and brother Israel Rocha Luna and has a lot of support from the gay community in Mexico City.
Trumpet (Mr Puppy UK'19): Pup play here is very large. We are represented throughout the country with many very well established events throughout the U.K. pups number in the thousands with many more joining each passing month. I believe it’s because of the support these events offer and the friends environment they create in the U.K. that has made it very accessible to curious people.
Ritchi (Mr Puppy Czech Republic'18): It's amazing. We are unfortunately scattered all over the country, but I would say that makes our events even more fun, when we can hangout together.
Sada (Mr Puppy Netherlands'19): The pup scene here is best described in one word and that is family. We have a veryclose group in the Netherlands. Everyone is always there for you to support you atthe best and the worst times. I really have to thank pup Kriszly, pup Milo and SirDaniël for creating the Bark&Play meetup where we can go to every two months tosee each other and play. Without it we wouldn’t have become one big happy family ofpups and handlers. You can really see it when we’re at the event because the firsthour is just spent on giving everyone a hug and to chat since we haven’t seen eachother in a while.
Aaron (Mr Puppy Italy'18): Surely in the last two years the Italian puppy scene has come out in an aggressive manner compared to other realities that despite a seniority of "presence" on fetish scenes and clubs, tend to remain in dim light. We do not mind to go out with the mask on the head and do not miss the opportunity to live our being puppies in an instinctive way and in the midst of the "common people". On the contrary ... we would like to let us know even more ...

PPS: Currently, as Mr Puppy Europe, you have certainly had the opportunity to travel to many countries and to know first-hand the pupp communities of many of them. Tell us, what would you highlight about the pup community in Europe?
Matt (Mr Puppy Europe'18): I like to travel and I have the opportunity to discover some puppy communities abroad : United Kingdom, Canada, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic ... Each country has its own particularities, and his own way of organizing/structure. For me there's not a better country than others.European community is also composed of European pups you can meet in most of the major fetish events in Europe, it's like a small family I enjoy to meet at each events.
PPS: For many pups, the title of Mister sees him as something too committed and a responsibility too big, what is it that made you want to present yourself for Mister?
Viking (Mr Puppy Mexico'19): Precisely that, which is a very big responsibility and that I can do it, in addition that I am committed to my country, to my community LEATHERS MX and above all I have the will to achieve the commitments that I established when presenting my candidacy.
Trumpet (Mr Puppy UK'19): A Mister title is something I take very seriously. I strongly believe anyone entering to become a mister should have a commitment to there community and a vision of what they can do to help grow, support and represent our community. I chose to enter this year because I had an idea where I wanted to take on your a mobile event where people can explore what it is to be a pup, and to give access to pups who cannot travel to events that are established in the U.K.
Ritchi (Mr Puppy Czech Republic'18): I wanted to show other pups that they don't have to be afraid or scared to be themselves. I wanted to maybe motivate others that are just being puppy behind locked doors, that there is nothing that they should be afraid of :)

Sada (Mr Puppy Netherlands'19): It is quite a big responsibility and it also pretty hard to put yourself out there in front ofeveryone. Big hugs for all the pups that are so brave to do it. This year was mysecond time being in the NL election and I have to be honest I didn’t have a goodunderstanding of what it meant to be mister the first time. So I watched Bentley andMakker how they handled it and this year I felt that I have grown a lot and that I feltready to take it on again. I wanted to do it because I think I can be a good role modelat first and also because I have a solid plan that I wish to fulfill during my title year.
Aaron (Mr Puppy Italy'18): The choice to apply as Mister was motivated at the beginning by the desire to continue the journey started by the previous Mr. So many ideas, so many projects ... but you do not understand what it means to have the title until it happens. It's like getting on a running train and it's not always easy to manage it. There is no manual of the perfect Mister. What I can tell you is that the important thing is to always be yourself. In spite of whatever happens.
Matt (Mr Puppy Europe'18): In my opinion, titles are sometimes saw as too formal things. In my opinion, misters, especially mister puppy, can't say "I represent my community", there's too much diversity/way to play as pup/ way to identify as pup, to have somebody representative. For me the aim of being a Mister puppy is to try to give a nice face to the community, and explain it/teach people who are interested by puppy play. It's also, being supportive for communities, by going at events/show support/provide help when you can.
PPS: Now that you have the title backing, what plans or projects do you have for your community?
Viking (Mr Puppy Mexico'19): Grow the puppy community in Mexico with the help of my LEATHERS MX brothers. I want a Mexican puppy to be seen in the main international events. This project is long term and I want to support the rest of Mexican puppies to be recognized in the best way around the world. This will create the first LEATHERS MX Puppy Meeting in which we will invite not only Mexican puppies but also from other countries to know Mexico and the whole community. There are also other projects such as web pages to disseminate information, and many more projects that we will be making known.
Trumpet (Mr Puppy UK'19): My calendar certainly has become very busy! Firstly it’s the European elections where I’m touring, then early next year I’m visiting all the pup events in the U.K. as soon as Pride season starts in May we will be taking the doghouse event on tour to as many Prides up and down the country as we can. I will also be representing the U.K. pups at world pride in New York in June and traveling Europe in the back end of 2019More info on this can be found on my website http://www.puptrumpet.uk in the calendar.
Ritchi (Mr Puppy Czech Republic'18): I definitely want to make more events to bring the community closer, I would also love to make some sort of pup-vacay, something like a four-day stay at a cottage where we can play with chewy toys and have some fun :)
Sada (Mr Puppy Netherlands'19): What I want to focus on the coming year is the female pup community. What italways looked like to me is that they have been pushed to the side and I think it istime to try and open up the doors for them. The plan is to get in contact with a coupleof female pups and see why they think male and female pups are still so separatedfrom each other. All we want to see is if they are interested in coming together, if notthen we tried and if they do want it we will set up an event where we can see how itwill go. The most important thing is just getting the conversation started and lettingthem know that we’re not trying to keep them out but actually want to welcome themwith open arms and a lick on the cheek.
Aaron (Mr Puppy Italy'18): I confess that the Italian puppy community is very active and our group "THE ITALIAN PUPPY" is working diligently to spread this reality. At the beginning I thought to be their "guide", but with the experience of this year I realized that the Mister in charge can be the means to help the community to grow. I do not want to clip the wings of the puppies ... they know what they are doing.
Matt (Mr Puppy Europe'18): I'm mister since 9 months and will step down in 3 months during Antwerp leather and fetishs pride, as Mister Puppy Europe, I mostly attend to fetish and puppy event, I also did 7 LGBT+ prides during summer, participate as judge for elections. On average : I do at least 2 events outside France per month.I have a puppy Community website in project since many months, but I miss of time to realize it at the moment, it will probably be launched when I will step down.

PPS: As you know, in a few days the election of Mr. Puppy Epaña 2019 is celebrated. What advice would you give to the candidates? And the winner? (Note: Mr Puppy Spain 2019 have been already elected, but not at the moment when the original interview was published)
Viking (Mr Puppy Mexico'19): My advice is to commit to the title and be very respectful with the whole puppy and not puppy community and prove that being puppy is synonymous with courage, dedication, passion and love. Let them be an example for your community and as important as they are willing to travel.
Trumpet (Mr Puppy UK'19): My advice is to be yourself, be honest with your vision and plans. Don’t promise anything you can’t deliver and most of all be approachable and kind to your community.
Ritchi (Mr Puppy Czech Republic'18): Enjoy every single second of it. Don't be afraid, it will be alright. I wanna wish the best of luck to all of the contestants and for the winner I wanna say, don't waste opportunities for your projects, be proud of the community you are representing, and always cherish your pup-family :)
Sada (Mr Puppy Netherlands'19): The best advice that I can give, which may sound a little cliché, is to have fun andjust be yourself. That has been my view both times I’ve done the election and theyare pretty simple. If you’re not having fun then what is the point in doing it in the firstplace and they want to see what kind of pup you are so all you have to do is beyourself. Both times the interviews have been a little scary for me because it can bequite intimidating to be answering questions in front of judges. If you believe inyourself and truly speak from the heart then you have absolutely nothing to worryabout.
Aaron (Mr Puppy Italy'18): Always BE YOURSELF! Do your best, may the best puppy win! And don't fuck it up! ahahahahaha (cit.)
Matt (Mr Puppy Europe'18): 2 Simple things : Have fun (that's the most important) and be yourself. Of course, this 2 advices works also for the winner : you're elected for who you are, don't try to change because of the title, just have fun and enjoy
PPS: Finally, if you were a dog, what breed would you be and why?
Viking (Mr Puppy Mexico'19): Viking is a German shepherd, as it is a very noble and very protective breed.
Trumpet (Mr Puppy UK'19): Good question! I see myself as a blue Irish Staffordshire bull terrier. Strong loyal and certain of themselves.
Ritchi (Mr Puppy Czech Republic'18): I would be..... probably a Golden Retriever, cause I'm obsessed with squeeky toys, bones and tennis balls!!!
Sada (Mr Puppy Netherlands'19): I’ve always seen myself as a husky (even though I don’t like the cold all that much). But they are just happy, jumpy, cuddle dogs that can also be a good leader ifneeded. I see myself that way too.
Aaron (Mr Puppy Italy'18): A Siberian Husky. I love winter and I hate hot weather. And they are so lovely silly!!!
Matt (Mr Puppy Europe'18): Hehe already answered that in the previous answers, So definitely a Shiba.
PPS: So far the interview, we are sure that our readers will appreciate your words and will be of help to many pups. Again, thanks for your time, it has been a real pleasure. We wish you the best for your year as a Mr!
Viking (Mr Puppy Mexico'19): Many thanks and a big hello to all of Mexico and the LEATHERS MX community that are being excellently directed by Israel Rocha and also good luck in the next Mr. Puppy Spain 2019 that will be a great event.
Ritchi (Mr Puppy Czech Republic'18): Thank you so much for having me, it was my pleasure :)
